General
Nothing
Everything observable is only information constrained in many different ways. Existence is merely a method of constraining otherwise unconstrained information. In this context unconstrained information simply doesn’t exist, and existence itself is impossible by definition. It proves exactly nothing, and from that follows that matter doesn’t really matter, or as the saying goes, “there’s no spoon”. In other words materialism is immaterial. All of above implies that the natural state of information is freedom, thus anyone is free to regard as well as disregard it as non sequitur.
Information
Ownership
The euphemism “intellectual property” is rather complete nonsense. Of course I may claim the ownership of an idea, but so does that other guy who came to know the same thing one way or another, and as soon as it happened it cant be easily undone. When several people own the same thing it is called collective ownership, or in other words communism. Are you scared yet? Communism doesn’t work in the real world for it’s against human nature to part with their belongings. Moreover, nobody in his own mind ever claimed it to be implemented anywhere, except maybe by handful of hippies in a galaxy far away. It’s just as hard to keep any information secret, as to enforce communism in material world. There’s no reason to be scared of the idea, as no one have to part with precious property in the process of sharing information. Although, if you insist keep trying, just call it what it is — monopoly.
Privacy
There’s one type on information everyone would like to keep monopolized to themselves — the private information. It is very tough to keep information secret, especially when most of private information still needs to be shared, either within limited circle of people, or for short period of time. Actually, the only way to do it is to agree to pretend that it is possible. All sorts of tools, encryption, laws, ethics, etc. used separately and in combinations are proven to work towards it to a certain extent, which is good enough for the cause, but anyone should keep in mind that it is only pretension.
Art
Art belongs to people. At the end it is being created for us to appreciate. One certainly can make money on art, but art created with the sole purpose of making money on it degrades very quickly to the point when it cant be considered art at all. The most blatant example is Hollywood. Anyone who engaged in pirating its products wastes time and bandwidth, and is probably dumb, cause there’s absolutely nothing to see. Anyone who pays to see it is dumb for sure. Unfortunately, looking at the sales it is easy to conclude that majority of people are indeed dumb.
Software
Software is expression of idea. Although proportion may vary, it is combination of art and science, and therefore it belongs to people too. The bloom of free open source software is the working example.
Politics
Parties
Two party system is the result of “winner takes it all” election policy. Unfortunately neither one of the parties have any interest of changing it. As a matter of fact, this system become a freak show long time ago, cause it’s rather looks like there’s only one party with two heads pretending to be in opposition with each other.
Religion
It’s fine to believe in something, cause not everything can be proven. The only thing which is wrong with religion, that it inevitably turns into sort of political organisation with fishy agenda trying brainwash everybody rather than enlighten. Just stay away from any church.
